We're pretty straightforward: we love design.
The Virginia Tech chapter of AIGA consists of a community of students coming together because of a shared passion for the graphic arts. We meet and share ideas, our projects, critique, and everything else in our lives design-related.
AIGA VT also functions as a forum for students to voice concerns regarding the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech. It's a department that's constantly evolving, and us students make an impact by joining forces to create change. Glyph X started with students expressing a need for departmental print services. AIGA VT also brought HDTV to Collegiate Square. If you want to make things happen in your art department, start by coming to an AIGA meeting.
We also make things happen by organizing design-related events. From speakers like Karlssonwilker to showings of the Helvetica documentary to this year's Two Minute Film Festival, we're kind of a big deal. We'll do anything to bring good design to the Virginia Tech community.
So come out and hang with us!
